Eyestorm Canva Systems Talent Program
A talent-development pathway from Eyestorm Design.
Great design is one thing.
Design that scales is another.
Learn to build the systems behind a brand in Canva — Brand Kits, templates, governance, and implementation — the work that lets hundreds of people create on-brand without a designer in the room.
You don't need to be a Canva expert.
We care more about how you think than what you already know. You might be a graphic, brand, production, presentation, or marketing designer — a student, a recent graduate, or an experienced creative exploring a new direction.
No required career stage — we're interested in potential, not age or title.
- Design judgment
- A real eye for typography, hierarchy, layout, and brand consistency.
- Systems thinking
- An interest in making things other people can reuse, adapt, and scale.
- Communication
- You can explain your thinking clearly and work well alongside others.
- Curiosity
- A willingness to pick up new tools, workflows, and ways of working.
- Reliability
- Professionalism, organization, and genuine attention to detail.
What you get
Everyone who takes part in the learning stage comes away with:
A skill set built for design at scale
How to build Brand Kits, template systems, and governance in Canva — and how the platform actually works at enterprise scale. Skills that hold their value wherever you go next.
A portfolio piece
You'll work through a real systems exercise on a fictional brand — and get honest feedback on how you approached it. Something you can show, whatever happens next.
Where it can lead
There's no automatic path — how far you go depends on your interests and how you progress. For strong contributors, it can open up:
Paid contractor projects
Strong candidates may be invited to paid independent-contractor assignments — template production and adaptation, Brand Kit setup, asset organization, content migration, localization and resizing, and template QA. Each has its own scope, schedule, and pay, and you can choose whether to accept individual assignments.
The opportunity to join a small network
Strong candidates may stay connected to Eyestorm as relevant projects come up, alongside a handful of other designers learning the same craft.
Learn how real implementations work
See how organizations roll Canva out to hundreds of people: workspace structure, roles and permissions, training, and adoption.
How the pathway works
Learn
Start with a self-directed path through Canva, Brand Kits, templates, and the principles behind Eyestorm's work. You're not doing client or production work at this stage — you're building the foundation.
Qualify
Complete a small exercise using a fictional brand. We're interested less in a polished result than in how you think about reuse, consistency, structure, and the person who'll eventually use what you build.
Work on paid projects
Candidates who show strong potential may be invited into Eyestorm's network of independent contractors for scoped, paid assignments — accepted on your own terms and availability.
Grow into systems & implementation
Some collaborators go further — into template architecture, folder and content structures, governance, and eventually client-facing implementation and training. A great production designer is valuable in their own right; not everyone needs this path.
There's no automatic progression. People move forward based on their interests, capabilities, and the work available at Eyestorm.
Eyestorm helps organizations build better ways to work in Canva.
Design systems, Brand Kits, brand templates, governance, training, and implementation — real work, for teams operating at scale. This program is how we're growing the group that does it.
Program notes
- This is a talent-development and qualification pathway, not an application for employment.
- Taking part in the learning stage doesn't create an employment relationship and doesn't guarantee future project assignments.
- You won't do unpaid client work or unpaid production work for Eyestorm.
- When we engage you for project work, it's an independent-contractor assignment with an agreed scope and pay.
We're starting small, on purpose.
We'd rather work closely with a few promising people than run a large program — and the first group will help us learn what makes someone successful in this emerging kind of work. Tell us a little about yourself and how you think. If your background looks like a fit, we'll be in touch with next steps.
